The new 4-storey, state-of-the-art Computer Science building is a purpose-built facility for the Computer Science department and is one of the first buildings to be constructed as part of the University of York’s £750million Heslington East campus expansion.

The building houses software and hardware teaching laboratories, departmental staff offices, research laboratories and a variety of social and collaborative spaces.  The department’s accommodation occupies two wings embracing a courtyard garden, to the south facing the lakeside is the research wing accommodating individual and group offices plus break out spaces.
